Iconic Burns a large scale outdoor site specific work launching the Scottish Government’s Homecoming 2009 tourism initiative at Alloway, Ayrshire. A public procession, multi site lighting installation and finale show at the Brig O’Doon. Produced by UZ Events
Brighton Festival 2009. Lighting design for guest artistic director Anish Kapoor’s new site specific Installations and presentation of some of his existing work.
Big in Falkirk 2009. Collaboration with Graeme Gilmour and Mike Roberts delivering the finale of 10 years of Big in Falkirk – Scotland’s premier arts festival with sculpture, fire and light.
Aisling’s Children - Large scale outdoor theatre directed by Mark Murphy and designed by Dan Pottra. Presenting the history of Scotland’s clans through the stories of successive generations of a single family. a spectacular night time event on the Edinburgh Castle esplanade. Produced by John Wassell for The Gathering - the centrepiece of Scotland’s Homecoming 2009 celebrations.
Moby Dick. Spymonkey’s new production of Herman Melville’s whaling epic directed by Jos Houben and designed by Graeme Gilmour. Setting sail at Theatre Royal Northampton in September, and then on tour in the UK and abroad.
The Mill. A new work by aerial theatre company Ockham’s Razor. Directed by Toby Sedgwick. Produced by Turtle Key Arts. In development during winter 2009, The Mill will premiere at the London International Mime Festival 2010.
The World Famous and Terrafolk’s Full Circle continues national and international touring dates.
2008
Lighting Design
Spirit a Chinese Spring Lantern Festival for NVA and The Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. An illuminated journey through the garden's glasshouses highlighting cultural and botanical links between RGBE and China.
Full Circle Large scale outdoor theatre produced by The World Famous. A unique blend of music, fire and light created with top drawer Slovenian group Terrafolk. Premiered at Big in Falkirk Festival, then UK and international touring.
Northumberland Lights and Newcastle's Glow Trail 2008 The success of the Northumberland Lights 2007 programme led to the commission with Zoe Bottrell (Project Manager since 2006) of 4 major site specific works: at Blyth in southeast Northumberland, on the shores of Kielder Water in the heart of the Kielder Forest, at Berwick-upon-Tweed, and on a series of heritage sites in the centre of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Created in collaboration with Graeme Gilmour, Dan Fox, Mike Roberts of The World Famous, Angus Farquhar, local partner organisations and community groups. Delivered in conjunction with Jack Thompson (production manager) and White Light.

Lighting Design
Before the Wolf Staged outdoor concert performance of new work by Jim Sutherland, performed by La Banda Europa for UZ events under the direction of Hilary Westlake. Saltwell Park, Gateshead and Falkirk Festival.
Elegy for Amici Dance Theatre at The Lyric, Hammersmith
Half Life for NVA at Achnabreck, Argyll Scotland. Lighting Design for the night-time element of environmental arts collective NVA's latest major landscape work. A co-production with National Theatre of Scotland, under the direction of NVA's Angus Farquhar and Mark Murphy.
Memories of a Monkey Boy a British/Sri Lankan co-production bringing together: a creative team from Improbable Theatre and Abhina Academy of Performing Arts in Colombo; a production team from Turtle Key Arts; able-bodied and disabled performers from all over Sri Lanka; Tsunami survivors and civil war victims under the direction of Wolfgang Stange. Presented at The British School Auditorium in Colombo.
Illuminating Links, Firhill Basin, Glasgow for UZ Events. A large scale sculpture, pyrotechnic and lighting event for a community audience, celebrating the regeneration of the Glasgow branch of the Forth & Clyde canal. Another very rewarding collaboration with the internationally acclaimed artist Graeme Gilmour, and Mike Roberts of The World Famous.
Northumberland Lights 2007 for Northumberland Strategic Partnership. Building on the success of the 2006 programme Four Major interactive public events, performances and landscape works were delivered to a collective audience both Urban and Rural of over 35,000 people. Concept delivered in partnership with Jack Thompson of White Light, and developed with Graeme Gilmour, Mike Roberts of The World Famous, John Kenny, Chris Wheeler and a number of Northumberland's finest community groups and partner organisations.

Strangely, time was made for: Production work on the 06/07 RSC London season at The Novello Theatre; touring production work on One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest for Nica Burn's Productions; production work on The Little Shop of Horrors transfer to The New Ambassadors Theatre for Menier Chocolate factory productions; and to continue guest lecturing for Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
2006
Lighting Design
Northumberland Lights 2006 for Northumberland Strategic Partnership. A winter tourism promotion developing a programme of large scale site-specific events, architectural lighting installations, and major landscape interventions. Five sites and a mobile project running from October to December. An audience of over 25,000 people. Concept developed and delivered in partnership with Jack Thompson of White Light, in collaborationwith artist Graeme Gilmour and Mike Roberts of The World Famous fireworkers.

Production work for 05/06 RSC London Season at The Novello Theatre, touring production work on Matthew Bourne's Edward Scissorhands for ACT productions/Sharp Adventures.
Guest lecturing at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.
Continued sweat-breaking for others including: Creative Staging; White Light; ETC UK Ltd; BBC Springwatch and The Forest of Marston Vale.

Goha Tales British Council funded exchange project led by Wolfgang Stange and Amici Dance Theatre. Three weeks of workshops with British and Egyptian disabled and able-bodied performers. Production staged at Cairo Opera House.
